In partnership with New Orleans Tourism Marketing Corporation (NOTMC) and Spotify, we created a once-in-a-lifetime experience for music-lovers, based on their listening habits. From jazz, hip hop, funk, blues, zydeco and indie, no city does music like New Orleans.We curated a Spotify playlist showcasing the sounds of the city with music from famous local legends including Jon Batiste, Amanda Shaw, and the Preservation Hall Band. Using data from the Spotify playlist, NOTMC selected a group of listeners with nothing in common but their love for New Orleans music to experience the “Offline Playlist” live, with the famous artists performing for them exclusively at the iconic venue Preservation Hall. Photography and footage from the live concert was documented by the legendary rock-and-roll photographer Danny Clinch and local filmmakers, and used to create a trailer, Spotify album, and a full-length documentary – making it the first Spotify playlist to be recreated live, and developed into a film.
Additionally, we later created the first ever Google Lens AR Music Video for Jon Batiste, Spotify and New Orleans Tourism which was printed in the NYTimes.
